GPS tracker and immobilizer on the e-scooter

You are lucky if the manufacturer has thought about securing his product. A sensible feature is an immobilizer that is unlocked using a smartphone. In the event of damage, an integrated GPS tracker helps at least to find the scooter again: by locating the scooter, you can find out where it is and notify the police. Both are scarce in most scooters.

You can retrofit at least one GPS tracker yourself. Most products have three disadvantages:

• The battery only lasts for a limited time.
• The tracker must be positioned on the scooter so that a thief cannot detect and / or dismantle it.

Theft insurance for e-scooters

The most important prerequisite for this is that the scooter was really well connected and the theft was reported to the police.
