Razer Blade Stealth 13 (2019): who is it worth buying?
While most gaming laptop manufacturers mainly rely on large devices, Razer completely goes against the grain with the Blade Stealth 13. In the past, the series was only equipped with an MX150 and could therefore only be used to a limited extent for gaming. Now Razer has put it a step further and offers the new model with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 in Max-Q design.
We were able to take the device into our own hands at IFA this year and make a first impression:
Razer Blade Stealth 13: ultra-light gaming laptop in hands-on
The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q is not exactly one of the high-end GPUs, but the graphics card is always suitable for playing in Full HD resolution with about 60 frames per second, if you are ready for some games Screw down settings a bit. In direct comparison to the predecessor, a noticeable performance boost.

But not only the graphics card, but also the other components can convince. The current i7 processor from Intel with Ice Lake architecture ensures massive performance with quite low power consumption. In addition, Razer installs a 512 GB PCIe SSD, which enables a quick boot up and offers enough space for a few games and lots of personal files. The 16 GB of RAM is soldered onto the board, so an upgrade cannot be carried out here. With this amount of RAM, this should not be necessary.
Windows 10 Home is already preinstalled on the device, Razer uses a 13.3-inch full HD IPS panel with a refresh rate of 60 Hz for the display. At this price, it should have been a 144 Hz panel, you would probably only have been able to make use of this in the rarest games. It would also have reduced battery life.

And that's exactly where we come to the downside of the better graphics chip. The higher performance of the graphics card also increases power consumption. In other words, if you are playing with a laptop on the go, you should be prepared for a short pleasure. The battery life when working is also noticeably shorter compared to the model without a dedicated graphics card.

If you can cope with this, the Razer Blade Stealth 13 is probably the most compact and lightest gaming notebook that you can currently find on the market. With a size of about 13 inches, it fits easily into almost any shoulder bag, the weight is 1.48 kilograms and yet the laptop offers a lot of performance - both for playing, especially for working.
It is questionable whether the Razer Blade Stealth 13 will be so cheap in the future. If you are now looking for a laptop that is as high-quality and small as possible, you will not go wrong with this offer.
