At the side of the new season there will be new faces in the "Germany is looking for the superstar" jury. DJ Antoine and Mandy Capristo say goodbye. The Express is now reporting that singer Michelle will take Mandy's place on the jury. Instead of DJ Antoine, Vanessa Mai should also determine the candidates. Mai is known as the singer of “Wolkenfrei”. Heino will also no longer be part of the jury. His place is no less prominently occupied. From 2016, HP Baxxter will sit at the jury's desk alongside Dieter Bohlen and Co. The jury will now find a healthy mix of young talent (Vanessa Mai) and big names in the music scene in Germany. Michelle was 8th for Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 in Copenhagen. As a scooter front man, HP Baxxter has been part of the German music scene like no other since the mid-1990s.

DSDS 2016: Can you still apply for “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” castings?

In total, there was the opportunity in 44 cities to participate in the DSDS casting. For an application for the 13th season of "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" next year, however, it is now over. The casting dates started on August 17, 2015, the last casting took place on September 19 in Mönchengladbach.
