Video: Jurassic World Evolution: New DLC Brings The Classic Film To Life

"A return to the crime scene, so to speak." As sarcastic as ever, Dr. greets you Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) in the shattered Jurassic Park on Isla Nublar.
In Back to Jurassic Park, the protagonists Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill), Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) and Dr. Ian Malcom accompanies and receives new mission goals from them. These are synchronized in the English and German versions by their original film voices. But not only the voices bring the flair of the film with it. The original soundtrack and the comeback of well-known buildings and dinosaur skins also take you into the world as we know and love them in the films.

The new primeval animals
The DLC offers new skins for previously explored dinosaurs from previous expansions. The T-Rex or the Velociraptor can now be seen in the classic 1993 film look. But there are also two new dinosaurs that many might know from the third part. First the small sneaky Compsognathus and the pterosaur Pteranodon.
But before visitors can catch a glimpse of the new species, the DNA of the dinosaurs has to be found and researched. This is the task of your researchers, who let you participate in excavations all over the world. There they find insects in the resin, bones or fossils from which they later extract and extract the DNA. Even if a good 70 percent of the genes researched are sufficient, it is recommended to find a full 100 percent of the DNA so that the dinosaurs are in good health and develop greater satisfaction.
Isla Sorna is the breeding station where the dinosaurs are raised. These can be picked up by helicopter and placed in their enclosures.
Compsognathus
The little nimble bipeds first appeared in Forgotten World: Jurassic Park and later in Jurassic Park 3. The two-pound dinosaurs look cute and trusting at first glance, but are deadly in the swarm. Nevertheless, they do not need a cordoned off area and can live together with peaceful herbivores in the outdoor enclosure.

Pteranodon
The Pteranodon is the pterodactyl that made its debut in Jurassic Park 3. This fought a nerve-wracking fight at lofty heights in the old aviarium on the island of Sorna. But back to Jurassic Park shouldn't be that dramatic. So make sure that your built aviarium will withstand all the hardships.

You need a lot of money, resources and skills to build buildings and successfully complete missions. We had the advantage of playing with a ready-made game, so the completion of each goal was easy to do. Even if you cannot make this progress so quickly, it is not an impossible task.
Satisfied customers are paying customers
Even if long deceased species are great visitor magnets, they have to be offered a lot more so that they are completely satisfied. Of course, the safety and diversity of dinosaurs is a big factor, but often it's the little things that have a tremendous impact. Like, for example, easily accessible toilets. Yes, you read that right. Your customers don't like having to walk around the park to do their business. Restaurants can also help to quickly satisfy hunger. So make sure that in addition to each major attraction, both needs are met and the connection is made accessible with signposts and tidy paths.

Better safe than sorry
Nevertheless, keep an eye on the fences and it is best to make sure that each area is supplied with electricity several times. There are otherwise very nasty surprises that you and your guests would like to do without - as you can see in the video:
Jurassic World Evolution: Back to Jurassic Park | Velociraptor attack
The DLC contains a total of seven missions that will help you piece by piece to rebuild the once destroyed Jurassic Park. In the course of our game we played two of the missions and can say that this DLC is a successful expansion. Back to Jurassic Park, the charm of the original trilogy is perfectly implemented and offers dinosaur enthusiasts a lot of new impressions. The basic game Jurassic World Evolution was also convincing in our test with its mechanics.
The game costs € 19.99 and is available on December 10 on Steam, PlayStation and Xbox. However, it can only be played if the base game is in your possession.
