Now Insmoniac Spider-Man 2 has not officially announced, but now. Marvel's Spider-Man is one of the most successful PS4 games ever and it is without a doubt the most successful Spider-Man game ever. So if we assume that Insomniac is quite interested in money - and a new wonderful game - this question would have been answered before. If we bring Disney into play, it is very simple: Disney could outright maliciously forbid Sony and Insomniac to bring Spider-Man 2 onto the PS4.
And I don't think that will happen.
First of all, Marvel is not the same as Marvel, just as Sony is not the same as Sony. What happened to Tom Holland's Spider-Man in the MCU only affects the film universe. That contract, which Disney and Sony could not conclude, only affects the film universe. And all of that is based on a decision made between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures, both subsidiaries of their patrons Disney and Sony. If we dive into the video game landscape and deal with the Spider-Man games, we swim to completely different shores: Marvel Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment
Sony Pictures owns the rights to Spider-Man in the film universe, but Marvel Games does have the rights to Spider-Man in the video game universe. At the same time, as already indicated, the actual dispute took place between completely different studios than those that are responsible for video game implementations. According to this, Spider-Man's MCU-Aus, as it is so often described, could have absolutely no impact on Insomniac's possible Spider-Man sequel.
But what may be more important than the difference between the studios is of course money. Marvel's Spider-Man for the PS4 is a money pit for Marvel as well as for Sony, the cooperation has been extremely worthwhile for both sides. And however Marvel is with Sony, money dominates the business of both companies without question. Meanwhile, fans want Spider-Man 2, and they want Insomniac's Spider-Man 2, which Sony bought and belongs to. So if we ask the god of money, it is a wise decision to give Sony and Insomniac a free hand on Spider-Man 2.

There could be complications, of course. Marvel's Spider-Man lives, among other things, from a number of Easter eggs, which often refer to Marvel films. And the suits. Spider-Mans Far From Home suit, the Avenger Tower in play, Dr. Stranges much too pretty circular window! If Insomniac's Spider-Man sequel also comes with an open world map of Manhattan, it could look a little different than in the first part. However, that would be a deficit that fans of the games and films could still tolerate halfway. Correct?
