In the imprint of Tixwaves, a Dutch company named "CDPA Trading BV" is mentioned as the operator and a Mr. Peter Tolboom as managing director.

The Dutch Tixwaves address is:

CDPA Trading BV

Nijenburg 73 B

1081 GE Amsterdam The

Netherlands

The German address is only a postal address:

CDPA Trading BV

An den Weiden 24

53757 Sankt Augustin

But this German address can be found in several places on the Internet. For example, on the tickettube.de ticket page or in the imprint of the eBay dealer "topeventtickets2010". He's only been buying tickets on eBay lately.

This address is apparently also related to a company called Prestige, whose managing director was named a few years ago in connection with Tixwaves.

This was also confirmed by ZDF in a Frontal21 broadcast on March 5, 2019. No one can be found in the Netherlands or at the German address. But in Sankt Augustin the ZDF found the above-mentioned company Prestige, which also deals in tickets. And as luck would have it, a sign from the Tixwaves company "CDPA Trading" can also be found at this address.

What are the customers' Tixwaves experiences?

The problems of ticket buyers with providers such as Viagogo or Tixwaves / Tickettube are always the same: Even if everything went well, buyers criticize the sometimes massively inflated prices. This is often justified with supply and demand, but the supply automatically becomes scarce if, for example, the operator of a ticket trade also maintains a pre-sale company, as the ZDF found in the case of Prestige.

Other complaints concern the ticket dispatch: Either the ordered tickets are late or not at all.

The Bremen consumer advice center also warned of the Tixwaves sister company Tickettube. This was also about usury prices and tickets not received.

Recommendation from GIGA

The ticket market has always been a good opportunity for some contemporaries to enrich themselves with the wishes of others. Black traders used to hang around in front of the concerts - now they are waiting for their victims online.

A distinction is made between a first and a second market: the legal first sellers offer original tickets on behalf of the organizers. Second sellers are resellers and often talk that they cannot be held responsible for delays, prices and invalid tickets.

Our opinion: If someone doesn't want to take responsibility and hides behind several websites, names and fake addresses, you shouldn't buy tickets there

Recently, the organizers and artists have started to sell only personalized tickets issued in the name of the original buyer. Other people will no longer come into the hall with these cards. But as has been shown, the usual suspects cannot be prevented from doing so - the profit margin is simply too high.

It is primarily up to you whether this market will remain in the long term. It is up to you to starve out the secondary users.
