Cheaper Than Aldi: Gaming Laptop Available At A Bargain Price

Aldi enjoys the reputation of its customers to offer numerous products at particularly low prices. As of last week, the discounter's range also includes a gaming laptop for 799 euros. But this offer is not a real bargain. Because at Ottound Alternate there are laptops that are similarly well equipped at a significantly lower price.

Both providers have just reduced the Lenovo IdeaPad L340-15IRH and are offering the model for just 666 euros. The selling price is more than 100 euros below that of the Aldi laptop. But what do you get for your money with the Lenovo laptop?

As with the Aldi notebook, an i5-9300H from Intel and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 are used as processors. In terms of gaming performance, the two devices don't take anything. This is always enough to play current games in Full HD resolution with reduced settings. There are hardly any differences with the display either. Both laptops use a 15.6-inch IPS display with a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The same applies to the working memory: Lenovo also installs 8 GB RAM in the IdeaPad. The only drawback: there is only one memory slot. The classic expansion of the memory is therefore not possible.

Speaking of storage, what about storage space? While the Aldi laptop only offers a 256 GB PCIe SSD, Otto uses a 512 GB model. However, the laptop will only be available here at the end of June. If you are satisfied with 256 GB of memory and want to hold the laptop in your hands instead, you can take advantage of Alternate's offer. The laptop is available from both retailers at a price of 666 euros. Otto has an additional 5.95 euros in shipping costs, Alternate has 6.99 euros. What Alternate buyers also have to do without is a preinstalled operating system. Windows 10 ex works is only available from Otto.

Like the Aldi laptop, the Lenovo IdeaPad also features an illuminated keyboard and a numeric keypad. WLAN and Bluetooth are also on board. HDMI, two USB 3.2 ports and a USB-C connection are available as connections. There is also a LAN socket and an audio combo connection.

All in all, the Lenovo laptop offers a similar gaming performance to the Aldi laptop, but is much cheaper. If you can wait, go to Otto's offer and look forward to a larger SSD and an already installed version of Windows 10. But if you can't wait that long, you won't make a bad deal with the Alternate offer. Both dealers offer the Aldi alternative for a price of just 666 euros - this is a real price hit!
