Video: When Does Samsung Pay Start In Germany?
The payment solution from Samsung started back in 2015. The service can already be used in 25 countries, but Germany will not be among them at the end of 2019. This year the offer was only extended to Indonesia. A further expansion is announced for 2020. Individual countries are not named, so it is unclear whether the offer will be activated for Germany in the coming year.
The service is aimed primarily at owners of a smartwatch from Samsung. With the Samsung smartphones you can already use Google Pay. However, the Google solution does not support the Tizen smartwatch operating system, but the Google Wear OS. So if you want to use your Samsung watch to pay, you still have to wait for Samsung Pay.
Samsung Pay: Samsung keeps a low profile
Samsung itself avoids a clear announcement about a launch date for Samsung Pay in Germany. So while we still have to wait in this country, the service can already be used in various countries, including Italy, France, Sweden, Switzerland and Spain.
