Video: Is The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 (Plus) Waterproof?

Like the other current Galaxy devices, Note 10 and Note 10 Plus also have IP68 certification. The first digit "6" means that Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus are protected against the ingress of dust. The second code number “8” stands for the device being protected “against permanent immersion”.

The new top phablets from Samsung are therefore dust and waterproof. You can also take underwater pictures with the Note 10 (Plus), use it when jogging in the rain or take it into the tub to listen to music. Nevertheless, even with IP68 certification you are not primarily protected!
Here you can find out where you can find the best deal for the Note 10 (Plus) with and without a contract.

What to look out for despite IP68 certification
Even devices with an IP68 certification will eventually reach their limits. Even if the Galaxy Note 10 (Plus) is protected from water and dust by the manufacturer, you should note the following:
Protection for water only applies to fresh water (fresh water)! You should therefore avoid underwater photos in the salt water of the seas or use an additional waterproof cover for the device. If the Note 10 (Plus) comes into contact with salt water, you should rinse it thoroughly with fresh water. In addition, the waterproofness of devices with IP68 certification is only guaranteed up to a deep diving limit of 1.5 meters.
If you connect your smartphone to water too often, the exposed connections, such as the USB power connector, can start to corrode over time. It is also very important that protection against the ingress of water can only be guaranteed with a fall-free device. With every rough landing, tiny cracks, breaks and deformations can occur, which could cause water to penetrate the next time you submerge.
What is the real reason for the two new Samsung Galaxy Note models?
Waterproof smartphone: sense or nonsense?
Actually, a smartphone shouldn't be used in a water-near environment. Exceptions are people who work on or in the water. But there are special devices for this. Or does so many people actually drop their smartphones in the toilet? Does your new smartphone have to be waterproof?
