Depending on the manufacturer, it takes a different amount of time until the new Android 10 update is available for a smartphone. Google itself of course distributes the updates to its own devices from the Pixel series (e.g. Pixel 2, Pixel 3a) immediately. But some other cell phones also participated in the beta or received an update to Android 10 on the first day.
Surprisingly, users of the Essentials Phones and the Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro can also look forward to an immediate update at the start of the new version. Other companies often take significantly longer because they rely on heavily customized UI designs. The update schedule is not always clearly communicated. Many older devices usually also have to do without the new version. If you have a current high-end smartphone, you usually have a good chance.
Below we have summarized all known rumors and announcements for Android 10 updates from the most popular manufacturers.
