The Sony WH-H900N "h.ear on 2" was introduced in 2017 and placed as a slightly cheaper alternative (RRP 299 euros) to the then top model WH-1000XM2 (RRP 379 euros). In the meantime, successors to both models have appeared, namely the Sony WH-H910N (RRP 299 euros) and the Sony WH-1000XM3 (RRP 379 euros). The Sony WH-H900N "h.ear on 2" is, in a sense, a discontinued model - although one has to say that the technical equipment is still good. However, the price trend shows a clear trend, which is of course welcome for us savers as consumers:

There is now a good chance that you can get the Sony WH-H900N "h.ear on 2" Bluetooth headphones on the market for less than 150 euros, which we believe is a fair price for this model. In the medium term, we do not expect a further significant and permanent drop in prices to EUR 120 or even below EUR 100, at most individual regional offers.

Sony WH-H900N h.ear on 2 at Amazon

At Amazon the Sony WH-H900N has 4.5 stars and 158 ratings (as of 11/2019). The users praise the good sound, high wearing comfort and noise canceling. The latter fights ambient noise with counter-noise, which works particularly well at low frequencies (aircraft hum). Higher frequencies (voices) are hidden less effectively and can penetrate to the listener.

You can experience for yourself how noise canceling (ANC) sounds with this video:

Test: Noise Canceling is so quiet

The wireless Sony WH-H900N was developed with a focus on design by a Japanese team and you can see that: the design is fluid and more fashionable-elegant than technical-cool, as with many competitors. Flat splendor or useless glitter has been dispensed with, instead the value is expressed through a silky matt plastic surface. This has also become an important argument, the headphones have long been more than just “sound tools”, but also a fashion statement.
