TV Hit: Samsung 4K TV With 65 Inches, Ideal For Games, On Offer

With the model you get a lot for the money. The Samsung 65RU8009 is a TV model from Samsung's 2019 mid-range lineup. The TV is really nice with its 65-inch diagonal. It has a VA panel with edge lit LED lighting, i.e. without local dimming. Of course, it resolves to 4K (call it UHD or 2160p, you know what I mean). Thanks to the 100 Hz panel and a special game mode, it is particularly well equipped for games, since the average input lag can be minimized. HDR (up to HDR 10+, no Dolby Vision) is also supported, but is less convincing in this device class and therefore not a no argument to buy.

Apps of all relevant streaming services are available on Samsung's Tizen OS. In addition, two voice assistants are supported with Alexa and Google Assistant. Thanks to Airplay 2 support, Apple users can "beam" sound and images from their devices directly onto the TV. The TV has a triple tuner (DVB-C / S2 / T2 HD), CI + slot, two antenna inputs, 4 × HDMI, 2 × USB, Ethernet and WLAN, so it is quite well equipped in terms of connection diversity. The panel is mounted on two track feet, but thanks to Vesa holes (400 × 400), the TV can also be attached to a wall.

Price and performance: is the TV worth it?

The price of the TV is okay with 677 euros, currently there is no cheaper anywhere. Especially when you consider that the shipping costs are included - normally you have to calculate at least 30 euros for shipping with such large devices. In this sense, the TV is at a level at least close to the historical best price. According to idealo, the television was already available in early March for 665 euros, but it is no longer possible to determine whether the shipping costs were included here. Either way, the 677 euros are an excellent price for this good and large Samsung television.
