After the production of the anime series was stopped due to COVID-19 after the second episode aired on April 17, 2020, it was long unclear when it could go on. Via the "Shokugeki no Soma" website and the official Twitter channel, those responsible for the series have now released a first glimmer of hope for the forthcoming continuation of "The Fifth Plate". With a little luck, the final season of "Food Wars!" Could continue from July 2020:

You can see the previously published episodes on Crunchyroll for free (with advertisements). There is currently no information on German localization. Since the fourth season “Food Wars! The Fourth Plate”is still waiting for a German dubbing (GerDub),“The Fifth Plate”should be a little longer in German.
