After the production of the anime series was stopped due to COVID-19 after the second episode aired on April 17, 2020, it was long unclear when it could go on. Via the "Shokugeki no Soma" website and the official Twitter channel, those responsible for the series have now released a first glimmer of hope for the forthcoming continuation of "The Fifth Plate". With a little luck, the final season of "Food Wars!" Could continue from July 2020:

The final season of "Food Wars!" Is available in Germany as a simulcast on the anime streaming services "Crunchyroll" and "Anime on Demand". You can see the previously published episodes on Crunchyroll for free (with advertisements). If you want to see the series without advertising and in higher resolution, you need either the premium subscription (4.99 euros / month) from Crunchyroll or the AoD subscription (9.99 euros / month) from Anime on Demand. Alternatively, you can buy the individual episodes on Anime on Demand (2.49 euros / episode) or borrow (0.99 euros / episode) without completing a subscription.

When does Season 5 appear in German (GerDub)?

There is currently no information on German localization. Since the fourth season “Food Wars! The Fourth Plate”is still waiting for a German dubbing (GerDub),“The Fifth Plate”should be a little longer in German.
