No, I do not want to suggest that child supervision and education should be left to television. Even if it were, the daily “broadcast with the mouse” announced by WDR would be more didactically more sensible from Wednesday. But why shouldn't you allow the little ones to watch two episodes of "High School Musical: the Musical: the Series" (the show is really called that) when you need an hour for a conference call? Yes, I speak from experience.

It is clear to me that starting a new streaming service is not a trick, technically challenging and also a burden on the network. Theoretically, it should be possible - Disney + has been running smoothly in the USA for a few months now, apart from a few wobbles at the start. And you can already access the service via VPN even here in Germany.

A signal of joy and against panic

Sure, in marketing you need fixed release and launch dates for important products so that you can control and channel attention. But is this necessary in times of Corona? The mobile phone manufacturers who had to do without the MWC have also found other solutions to present their products. Wouldn't an earlier start of Disney + in Germany be a signal of joy and solidarity, against panic and lethargy, and thus something that we can all use right now? And finally: Wouldn't such a saucool campaign generate more, especially positive, publicity?
