The hardware has a relatively similar structure. However, Sony has already announced an intelligent storage system for the PS5 software. Design and appearance

The controllers

The new Xbox controller does not risk experiments and presents itself almost exactly like the tried-and-tested predecessor. Changes are limited to details such as the share button and the USB-C connection.

Sony, on the other hand, continues to rely on evolution and has equipped the DualSense with a whole range of innovative innovations. Backward compatibility and smart delivery

Both consoles are said to be backwards compatible. So you should be able to play games from Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One with the Xbox Series X. The PlayStation 5 is said to support almost all games of the PS4 era, but has not yet been able to guarantee this compatibility for 100 percent of all players. Classic versions of the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3, on the other hand, are partially covered by the paid subscription service PlayStation Now. Another technology that Microsoft wants to score with is called Smart Delivery. This means that games purchased are compatible with both the old (Xbox One) and new hardware (Xbox Series X) and, in case of doubt, you don't have to buy the game twice.

Will there be a console war again?

As we reported in a previous article, the new generation of consoles could herald the end of console wars. Crossplay is on the rise. The consoles are working more and more together, now the games and network services are more in focus.
