Android: Symbols And Icons Of The Status Bar And Their Meaning (Samsung, Huawei & Co.)

The appearance of the icons may vary depending on the Android version and smartphone manufacturer. Most of the time, however, the smyboles are quite similar. The most important symbols on Android smartphones at a glance:

Connectivity
Image	Device is connected to a cellular network for calls and SMS. The filled bars indicate the connection strength.
Image	No network available.
Image	Device uses roaming.
Image	Connected to the WiFi.
Image	Connected to the WiFi but no internet access.
Image	Device is connected to the GPRS network for mobile data.
Image	Device is connected to the EDGE network for mobile data.
Image Image	Device is connected to the HDSPA (+) network for mobile data.
Image Image	Device is connected to the 4G / LTE network for mobile data.
Image	NFC function is activated.
Image	Bluetooth (gray) is activated but not connected to any device.
Image	There is a connection to a Bluetooth device.
Image	Positioning (GPS) is active.
Image	Smartphone is connected to a device via USB.
Media playback
Image	Media playback in progress (in the background).
Image	Media playback paused (in the background).
Image	Media volume muted.
Image	Media are cast to another device.
Image	Media is transferred to another device via AirPlay.
Phone & notifications
Image	Active call.
Image	Missed call.
Image	New SMS message.
Image	New email message.
Image	New Gmail message.
System & other
Image	No SIM card inserted or recognized.
Image	"Do not disturb" mode is active.
Image	Airplane mode is active.
Image	Device is set to silent.
Image	Device is set to vibrate, tones are off.
Image	Alarm clock is activated and rings at the set time.
Image	A screenshot was recently taken that can be viewed from the notification bar.
Image	A screenshot that was created could not be saved.
Image	Battery charge level. The percentage display can optionally be displayed.
Image	Battery is almost empty.
Image	Battery is charging.
Image	File is uploaded / sent.
Image	File is being downloaded / received.
Image	Data is synchronized / updated in the background.
Image	System updates available.
Image	Navigation runs in the background.
Image	Select input method.
Image	There are more notifications available for which there is no more space for the icons in the toolbar.
